There's no place like home. Except the Toyota Avalon and its new user-friendly version of Homelink. Chicago Toyota dealers believe this is a useful innovation for drivers of the Avalon and are excited for their customers to try it out.

Homelink is a universal garage door opener system that can be found in most luxury cars and some higher-end family vehicles. This new version in the 2011 Avalon uses the built-in LCD display in the rearview mirror to display a menu and any necessary instructions. Most current versions require watching a DVD or using a manual to get instructions for use.

For customers of Chicago used Toyota dealers this new system may prompt a check of the Avalon, which has several other high-end features that buyers will love. Even though the Homelink system has been around since 1995, it is just now catching up with technology so that remote door opening and light activation are not only done with one touch, but allow the driver to perform more complex operations with the aid of instructions which can be displayed in your car.

The Homelink system, made by Johnson Controls, is said to be usable with more than 99 percent of new garage door systems and the programming process is much faster since the introduction of Quicktrain in 2007.

Homelink is only one of many amenities buyers will love in the 2011 Toyota Avalon. Projector-beam halogen headlamps with daytime running lights, 17-inch split six-spoke allow wheels, wide-angle fog lamps, LED taillights, color-keyed foldable power heated outside mirrors with driver-side auto-dimming and turn signal indicators, chrome outside door handles, chrome-tipped dual rear exhaust outlets, High Solar Energy-Absorbing glass, rain-sensing washer-linked variable intermittent wipers, and power tilt/slide glass moon roof with sunshade are a few of the exterior features. Chicago used Toyota dealers are very impressed with the new look of the Avalon.

Inside, Ava lon buyers can enjoy leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, leather-trimmed eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar support, adjustable headrests and seatback pockets, heated and ventilated front seats, power driver's seat cushion extension, driver's seat and outside mirror memory system, center console storage area, sliding armrest and dual cup holder, multi-function information display with outside temperature, fuel and distance readouts, dual extendable sun visors with illuminated mirrors, auto-dimming rearview mirror, multi-function in-key remote keyless entry, Smart Key System with Push Button Start, AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA with nine speakers, auxiliary jack, USB port with iPod connectivity, hand-free phone capability and music streaming with Bluetooth, and Vacuum Flourescent Display, rear sunshade, touch-screen navigation system and many more luxury features.

And that's just a small portion what Toyota buyers will find in the new Avalon. The new look of this T oyota model is yet another selling point.
